Three countries in twenty days, from Ljubljana and Lake Bled through the Istrian wine country, the turquoise lakes of Plitvice and the waterfalls of Krka to Hvar and Dubrovnik, then on to the Bay of Kotor, Lake Skadar and the mountains behind them. Hiking, rafting and a scenic mountain railway give it an adventurous edge.
Arrive at Ljubljana Airport, where your private driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the Slovenian capital (approximately 45 minutes).
After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to relax and settle in. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to take your first stroll through Ljubljana’s charming historic centre, with its riverside cafés, elegant squares and picturesque bridges.

After breakfast, discover Ljubljana on a guided walking tour lasting approximately 2.5–3 hours. Explore the atmospheric Old Town, see the famous Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge, stroll along the Ljubljanica River and learn about the city’s history and architecture.
Later, leave the capital behind and travel to Lake Bled (approximately 60 km / 1 hour), one of Slovenia’s most iconic landscapes.
Enjoy some time at leisure to admire the emerald-green lake, the medieval Bled Castle, and the tiny island with its picturesque church. A walk along the lakeshore is a wonderful way to take in the scenery.
In the afternoon, return to Ljubljana.

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in Ljubljana, or join an optional excursion to Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city.
Discover the historic centre, charming riverside promenade and the famous Old Vine, believed to be one of the oldest producing grapevines in the world. Continue into the surrounding wine-growing region to visit a local winery.
Enjoy a wine tasting and discover Slovenia’s rich wine-making traditions before returning to Ljubljana.

After breakfast, depart Ljubljana and travel towards the Adriatic coast, with a stop at Postojna Cave (approximately 50 km / 1 hour).
Explore one of Europe’s most impressive underground worlds on the famous cave train, followed by a guided tour through its vast chambers, with their striking stalactites and stalagmites.
After approximately two hours underground, continue towards Opatija, the elegant seaside resort on the Kvarner coast (approximately 65 km / 1.5 hours).
Check into your hotel and enjoy your first taste of the Adriatic.

Today combines ancient history with the distinctive charm of the Istrian coast.
Travel along the scenic coastal road to Pula, where a local guide will introduce you to the city’s Roman heritage, including its magnificent Roman amphitheatre.
Continue to Rovinj, one of Istria’s most picturesque coastal towns. Wander through its narrow, cobbled streets, colourful houses and charming squares, and enjoy some free time to discover the town at your own pace.
Return to Opatija in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, leave the Adriatic coast and travel towards Plitvice Lakes National Park (approximately 240 km / 4 hours).
Along the way, stop in Rastoke, a historic village where small waterfalls and cascades flow between traditional wooden houses and old watermills.
Continue to Plitvice and enjoy a guided visit to the national park, famous for its chain of turquoise lakes, wooden walkways, and spectacular waterfalls.
After the tour, check into your hotel in the Plitvice area and relax amid the peaceful natural surroundings.

After breakfast, continue south towards the Dalmatian coast and the historic city of Zadar (approximately 140 km / 2.5 hours).
After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is free. Take the opportunity to explore the atmospheric Old Town, enjoy a leisurely coffee on one of the squares, or head to the waterfront to experience Zadar’s famous Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.
As evening falls, the waterfront is particularly atmospheric and is an ideal place to watch the sunset.

Today, discover one of Croatia’s best-known natural areas: Krka National Park (approximately 100 km / 1.5 hours).
Visit the peaceful island of Visovac, home to a historic Franciscan monastery, reached by shuttle boat. After approximately one hour on the island, return to the mainland and continue to the Skradinski Buk, where a series of waterfalls creates one of the park’s most impressive landscapes.
Continue to Šibenik, one of Croatia’s oldest coastal cities, and check into your hotel.

After breakfast, travel to the UNESCO-listed town of Trogir (approximately 90 km / 1.5 hours).
A local guide will introduce you to its medieval streets, historic squares and architectural treasures. After the guided tour, enjoy some free time for lunch or further exploration.
Continue to Split (approximately 30 km / 30 minutes), where you board the scheduled catamaran to the island of Hvar.
As you approach Hvar, enjoy the beautiful views of the Dalmatian islands and coastline.
Overnight on Hvar.
Enjoy a full day on the island of Hvar.
Take your time exploring the historic town, relax by the sea or discover some of the island’s scenic walking trails. For those looking for more adventure, diving is also possible, with equipment available for rent.
Alternatively, simply enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere, local cuisine and views across the Adriatic.
Overnight on Hvar.
After breakfast, take the scheduled catamaran back to Split.
From Split, continue south towards Dubrovnik, travelling through the spectacular landscapes of southern Dalmatia, including the fertile Neretva Delta and the Pelješac Peninsula (approximately 250 km / 4.5 hours).
The journey brings changing scenery, ranging from mountains and vineyards to the Adriatic coastline.
Arrive in Dubrovnik and check into your hotel.

This morning, discover Dubrovnik, one of the Mediterranean’s most magnificent historic cities.
During a guided walking tour of the Old Town, explore the Stradun street, historic churches, squares and remarkable medieval architecture.
After the tour, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Explore the city walls, browse the atmospheric side streets, relax at a seaside café or take a refreshing swim in the Adriatic.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Enjoy another relaxed day in Dubrovnik, or choose an optional excursion to Korčula.
The island is known for its charming medieval Old Town, stone streets and beautiful coastal setting. Discover its historic centre and enjoy some free time before returning to Dubrovnik.

Today, leave Croatia and cross into Montenegro.
Travel along the spectacular Bay of Kotor to Kotor, a UNESCO-listed town surrounded by dramatic mountains. During a guided sightseeing tour, explore its atmospheric Old Town, medieval streets and historic squares.
Continue along the Montenegrin coast to Budva, one of the country’s most popular seaside resorts.
Check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, travel with a local guide to Bar (approximately 40 km / 1 hour).
Discover this historic coastal town before continuing to Lake Skadar National Park (approximately 20 km / 30 minutes), one of Montenegro’s most distinctive natural areas.
Board a boat for a relaxing cruise across the lake, surrounded by mountains, wetlands and abundant birdlife. A small local snack is included, giving you the opportunity to sample a taste of Montenegro along the way.
Return to Budva in the afternoon.

Today brings a change of scenery as you leave the coast and head into Montenegro’s mountain interior.
Travel to Podgorica and enjoy a short guided city tour before boarding the train towards Kolašin. The railway journey offers a memorable way to experience Montenegro’s dramatic mountain landscapes.
From Kolašin, continue to Biogradska Gora National Park, one of Europe’s last remaining primeval forests.
Enjoy a scenic hike of approximately 12 km through mountain pastures, with views of the Bjelasica Mountains. The route includes approximately 600 m of ascent and descent.
Overnight in Kolašin.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning walk around the beautiful Biogradsko Lake, surrounded by ancient forest and mountain scenery.
Continue to Đurđevića Tara, where an exciting rafting adventure awaits on the Tara River. The approximately 12 km rafting experience combines spectacular scenery with a taste of Montenegro’s great outdoors.
After lunch, visit a traditional Orthodox monastery before returning to Kolašin.

Today, travel back towards the Montenegrin coast via Podgorica and visit the remarkable Ostrog Monastery, dramatically built into a near-vertical cliff face.
The monastery is one of Montenegro’s most important spiritual and cultural landmarks and offers views over the surrounding countryside.
Continue to Budva and enjoy a relaxed evening by the Adriatic.

Enjoy your final full day in Montenegro at leisure. Relax on the beach, explore Budva’s charming Old Town or enjoy the Adriatic atmosphere.
Alternatively, take an excursion to Cetinje, the former royal capital of Montenegro, and continue into Lovćen National Park.
A visit to Njegoš mausoleum provides panoramic views across the mountainous Montenegrin landscape and offers a memorable final glimpse of the country.
Overnight in Budva.
After breakfast, transfer to Podgorica, Tivat or Dubrovnik Airport, depending on your departure arrangements.
